Mag is a construction expert with over twenty years of diverse national and international construction experience. Mag has been exlusively focused on program and contract management; project controls including cost control, schedule oversight and change order management.  Mag has extensive experience in claims management, analysis, negotiation and resolution of construction disputes.

Mag Risk is retained as a construction expert by law firms to opine on matter related to a wide variety of disputed construction claims including cost overruns, damages, cumulative impacts due to excessive RFIs, change orders, lack of coordination and contract termination.

Mag has recently supported an international engineering firm and its attorneys in AAA arbitration to win in excess of $80,000,000.00 for damages suffered during the performance of engineering and construction support services for two coal-fired power plants in China.

Mag provides counsel with independent and objective testimony during litigation.  He has developed claims and counterclaims. He has provided his opinions on a wide variety of claims in the form of credible expert reports. He has reviewed and rebutted opposing expert’s analysis.

Mag Risk has specific expertise in CPM scheduling and delay analysis, as it relates to delay and disruption, constructive acceleration, suspension of work, defective design or specifications, differing conditions, constructive changes, late owner-furnished materials, over-inspection, interference, termination for default, subcontractor default, and mismanagement.

Mag Risk is retained as an expert claims and delay consultant by contractors to provide expert support services focusing on the preservation of rights to support entitlement. He is retained by owners to support dispute resolution and to bridge the gap and resolve disputes at the project level.

Mag Risk, PE is the president of Construction Risk Consultants.  Formerly, Mag was the president of M.A. Risk Consulting Services.  In his role at these firms, he supported general contractors, design professionals, owners, sureties and their counsel by offering practical solutions to resolve a wide variety of construction disputes. 

Mag performs detailed analysis of schedules and project records to evaluate disruptions and cost overruns.  He has developed delay and disruption claims and supported counsel in the defense against wrongful termination and the assessment of back charges and liquidated damages.
